What You'll Do

  • Maintain daily studio cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep
  • Receive, unbox, inspect, and organize client purchases and vendor deliveries
  • Track and manage incoming items, ensuring accuracy and organization
  • Prepare and organize materials and furnishings for install days
  • Assist with installation setup, styling, and breakdown
  • Coordinate deliveries and drop-offs to job sites, contractors, and vendors
  • Support designers with general project organization and tasks
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content during installs, walkthroughs, and studio work
  • Assist with simple content creation (flat lays, short videos) and Pinterest organization

Oslo Design Co. is seeking a highly organized, proactive Design Assistant to support studio operations, procurement logistics, and project preparation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys the behind-the-scenes side of design—ensuring that materials, furnishings, and project components are received, organized, and ready for execution. You’ll play a critical role in keeping the studio running smoothly and supporting the team through installations and active projects.

This position also offers the opportunity to contribute to light content creation and brand storytelling through day-to-day studio and project work.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Takes pride in maintaining clean, orderly, and well-functioning spaces
  • Comfortable with hands-on, physical tasks (lifting, organizing, moving items)
  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to jump in where needed
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Interest in interior design, operations, or procurement
  • Comfortable capturing simple photo/video content with an eye for aesthetics
  • Basic familiarity with tools like Google Drive and spreadsheets

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to run errands and make deliveries to job sites and vendors
  • Availability during weekdays with flexibility based on delivery and install schedules

Details

  • Part-time (20–30 hours/week)
  • Hybrid to start, with at least one hour per day in-studio (Monday–Friday)
  • Transitioning to fully in-person when studio opens in late summer 2026
  • Hourly position ($18-$20/hr based on experience)
