Oslo Design Co. is seeking a highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented Studio Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our growing interior design studio.
This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys keeping things organized, anticipating what needs to happen next, and working behind the scenes to help a creative business run beautifully. You’ll support our team across studio operations, project and installation logistics, administrative coordination, marketing and content, and client and team experience.
This is not a traditional interior design position. We’re looking for an experienced, capable professional who enjoys a support and coordination role, takes ownership of their work, exercises good judgment, and is comfortable working independently.
No two days will look exactly the same. One day you may be organizing incoming furnishings and preparing materials for an installation; the next, you may be coordinating a return, updating a project tracker, helping prepare marketing content, or putting together a thoughtful client or team experience.
About Oslo Design Co.
We offer:
- A warm, highly skilled team that values collaboration, initiative, and supporting one another.
- A behind-the-scenes look at the full process of creating exceptional residential interiors—from project planning and procurement to installation and final details.
- A varied role with opportunities to take ownership, learn new skills, and make a meaningful impact on how the studio operates.
- The satisfaction of seeing your work directly contribute to beautiful projects and thoughtful client experiences.
- A culture that values organization, good judgment, craftsmanship, hospitality, and the people who make it all happen.
What You'll Do
- Keep our studio, sample library, storage areas, project materials, and incoming product organized, labeled, and moving efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, photograph as needed, track, pack, wrap, and prepare furnishings, samples, hardware, and materials for projects, installations, deliveries, returns, and storage.
- Monitor deliveries and shipments, identify damaged, missing, incorrect, or incomplete items, and coordinate appropriate follow-up with vendors and team members.
- Support project administration by maintaining project management systems, product status, check-in records, project binders, install kits, inventory records, spreadsheets, and digital documentation.
- Coordinate local pickups, deliveries, printing, returns, errands, shipments, and other project logistics, including transportation of materials between the studio, vendors, job sites, and other local destinations.
- Provide hands-on support during installations and styling days, including setup, product handling, organization, transportation, and breakdown.
- Assist with ordering, research, vendor communication, email follow-up, meeting preparation, presentations, client-facing materials, and other administrative needs.
- Support marketing and brand initiatives by organizing photography and video assets, assisting with the content calendar, simple video editing, website updates, outreach, PR support, and creative partner coordination.
- Help coordinate studio events and brand initiatives, including vendor outreach, research, scheduling, logistics, and follow-up.
- Create thoughtful client and team experiences through gifts, welcome materials, project closeout materials, photo books, employee recognition, celebrations, team gatherings, and monthly team meeting hospitality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment, including restocking, recycling, trash, and general upkeep.
- Proactively anticipate what the team needs, identify what needs attention, adapt as priorities shift, and follow through from start to finish.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Take ownership of your work and follow through without needing constant direction.
- Are highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.
- Enjoy a varied role that combines hands-on work, administrative tasks, logistics, and creative support.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, vendors, clients, and creative partners.
- Can shift between priorities and stay calm and productive when plans change.
- Have good judgment and know when to take initiative and when to ask for direction.
- Enjoy creating organized, polished, and thoughtful experiences for both clients and the team.
- Have an interest in interiors, architecture, design, photography, marketing, or other creative industries.
- Have a visual eye and care about presentation, quality, and the small details.
- Are comfortable learning new systems, technology, and processes.
- Bring a positive, team-oriented attitude and are willing to pitch in wherever needed.
Previous experience in administration, operations, project coordination, hospitality, marketing, design, client service, or a similar support role is strongly preferred.
Interior design experience is not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to run local errands and transport materials between the studio, vendors, job sites, contractors, and other local destinations.
- Ability to lift, carry, pack, unpack, and move boxes, furnishings, accessories, samples, and project materials.
- Ability to work on your feet and assist with physical setup, organization, deliveries, and installation support.
- Weekday availability with flexibility to occasionally adjust hours for installations, photoshoots, studio events, deliveries, or other time-sensitive needs.
- Comfortable using Google Drive, spreadsheets, email, and other digital tools, with the ability to learn new project management and studio systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism and discretion when working with client information, projects, vendors, and internal studio matters.
